- Do you want to give back to your community?
- Do you want to help in a big way?
Our club gives money to many local community groups. The following is highlights about one of the groups Quota of San Luis Obispo supports
Charity of the month
Our Quota club has been placing amplification systems in classrooms in the SLO Unified School District for over 7 years with about 18 units now placed. This amplification system allows the teacher to wear a mic while talking to the students so all students in the class can hear clearly. Teachers feel this allow students to pay attentions better while learning.
We received a request for an immediate need for an amplification system in a classroom at Los Ranchos School. A big thank you to our club member Chesterlyn who ordered a system right away and presented it to the Teachers at the January 22nd program meeting. This was a wonderful benefit for our schools and our Children. I received a thank you note from the teacher saying that Room 2 at Los Ranchos School is a better place to learn thanks to the San Luis Obispo Quota Club.

Cuesta College Re-Entry Program
The Cuesta College Re-Entry Program was designed to aide men and women in San Luis Obispo County that have had to return to the work force. In order to get a well paying job, many of these people have needed to enhance their education by returning to college. They are not in a position to pay for their education. The Quota Club of San Luis Obispo has set up a fund, at Cuesta College Foundation, for these needs. This fund is used to pay for tuition, books, supplies, and assist any further emergency needs. This fund has come to the aid of many people in the past and an endowment has been established to assist many others in the future.
